The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit organisation involving all BISS parents and staff and aims to stimulate communication and create a better understanding between the school and parents; to encourage the growth and reputation of the school; to promote its policies and provide support where appropriate. Parental involvement is highly valued and encouraged. Regular PTA activities include a welcome BBQ, coffee mornings, annual quiz night and bake sales.
The PTA has a network of class representatives who serve as the communication link between parents of their class and coordinate parents' participation in key PTA events. Each class representative organises regular coffee mornings/afternoons for parents in their class, which creates opportunities for socialising, sharing information from teachers and upcoming events.
